This is a robotic cockroach for a high school / middle school neuroscience and robotics class. The robot layout is based on the Genghis robot from the MIT AI lab circa 1990s by Prof Rodney Brooks. It uses 12 SG90 servos, 1 Raspberry Pi Zero, and 1 PWM hat. Design is continuing to evolve, later versions will have a thicker frame and some small changes; use of right angle headers is recommended, and a future "head" with Picam and Lidar Lite is in the works. The leg mid joints are can be done as snap fit or can be tacked together with CA or hot melt. Working on adding heat set threaded inserts; and if anyone knows of 20T spline heat set brass inserts...
