<p>I had a broken faucet retainer that kept leaking. So of course 3d printing to the rescue! it saved me $50 in the end, considering you cannot buy just the piece that was cracked. You'd have to buy the entire handle ($50) or replace the faucet all together for $200+.</p> <p>All in, cost $0.44 supports and all. The faucet doesn't leak anymore, and the wife finally appreciates this fine 3d printing hobby.</p> <p>This currently installed in my bath faucet and works great. its a little tighter maybe because I didn't calibrate the filament flow. However there is very little backlash with the faucet.</p> <p>Made with Fusion360</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p>7 Perimeters<br/> 50% infill<br/> supports on buildplate only activated.<br/> 5 raft layers when angling edge on the buildplate.<br/> PLA is fine. PETG Better.<br/> Angle 115° from the post downwards, to gain better layer strength. so that the screw wont pop the layers from the rest of the body.</p>
