Moen Shower Knob
thingiverse
So there's another Moen tap knob that has been posted a couple of times on the site, and I'm thinking it might fit my bathroom sink faucet instead of my shower. This knob looks bigger - its inside diameter measures 29mm - and fits my shower perfectly. My shower was installed around 2000 and I don't see any knobs like this at the local Home Depot right now. One feature that caught my attention is the "end stops" that allow it to turn about 300 degrees. The other knob only turns roughly 180 degrees from what I can tell. When placing the end stops, I made an estimate rather than a precise measurement, so you may need to adjust the "ring" in your assembly to get exactly where the knob turns. If you're trying to decide if this is the right knob for you, here are some key details: - Outside diameter 36mm plus roughly 2mm of knurls - Inside diameter 29mm - Turns: roughly 300 degrees from one stop to the other - inside post bit: - 15mm OD - 9.5mm ID - 7mm between the flat bits that do the turning I made this object entirely from scratch using Fusion 360. If you really want to play around with the files, just ask. That said, it's a pretty straightforward project. I didn't try to make it look like the original part; I simply designed it to work like it does in my shower now.
