Moen Cartridge 1225 Removal Tool

Human: The design behind this precision reproduction is based on the experiment to replicate an existing part.\nMy leaky showers are installed with mid-90's fixtures, all using Moen 1225 cartridges which can easily be replaced or repaired. Each replacement kit comes equipped with a tool that fits over the end and allows use of a 1/2 inch wrench to loosen the cartridge; otherwise you may damage vice grips while attempting to remove it. Without this tool the cartridge becomes firmly lodged.\nIf every replacement kit includes one, then what's the purpose? I was working on precision reproduction as mentioned earlier. Reality is that it seems probable in several instances simply replacing O-rings will bring the unit back to nearly new condition, a feat that would be impossible without the tool involved. This would convert $20 repairs into under $5 depending on O-ring cost.\nThe design is based on a NewMatter Mod-T printer using 0.1mm layer height and 100% infill for printing purposes. My original model was printed upside-down with the wrench on the base plate; I'm not certain this is the most efficient orientation, so STL files have been included both ways. The process definitely took longer!\nIf you need it feel free to use the instructions below!\nPrint Settings\nPrinter:\n NewMatter Mod-T Resolution:\n .1 Infill:\n 100% Rafts:\n No Supports:\n Yes
