Moen Bathroom Sink Faucet Caps
thingiverse
I thought it was high time to replace a rusty faucet cap with a shiny new one, so I decided: Why not 3D print a replacement! I'm going to use some colored polycaprolactone to add a pop of color to the letters and then seal them with a thin coat of glossy nail polish. Print Settings: Printer: Newmatter Mod-T Rafts: No Supports: It doesn't matter what type is used. Resolution: Normal resolution will do just fine. Infill: 15% infill should be plenty strong enough for this small part. Notes: This print includes a small support post that can easily be broken off after the print is complete. How I Designed This I designed the faucet cap in OpenSCAD, step by step. First, I made sure to keep all my parameters related to key sizes organized and easily adjustable, so I could make any necessary changes quickly and efficiently. Then, I iterated through each feature of the design using a binary approach - adding or removing features one at a time until I had just what I needed.
