The classification station sorts pieces into three conveyor belts. Initial items on the transport system are detected by a direct reflection sensor. Sensors before the end detect piece features (black, red, metallic). Short stroke cylinder-operated diverters guide pieces to the appropriate ramps. A reflective sensor monitors ramp fill levels.
