MODULO - Crack-free Modular Tubing / Pipe Coupling System
thingiverse
I designed this for use on a different project at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2757069, but I figured these clamps could also be used to build large structural frames. *INSTRUCTION* - Print all parts with the largest face on the bed for best strength. - Use 3 or more walls/perimeters and 3 or more top/bottom layers. - Watch a video for assembly steps at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTArOmdYkaI. Possible configurations are currently limited to 0-90, 90-90 degree angles - different blocks can be made for different coupling angles: - Use six-inch long one-quarter inch hex screws and nuts from a local hardware store to assemble. - Use three-and-a-half-inch long one-quarter inch hex screws and nuts from a local hardware store to clamp tubing. *Currently fits the following pipes/tubes:* - One-and-a-quarter inch metal electrical conduit pipes (also known as one-and-one-fourth inch conduit). - One-and-a-half inch outer diameter stainless steel pipes at https://www.speedymetals.com/pc-4485-8276-1-12-od-x-065-wall-tube-304-stainless-steel-annealed.aspx. - Fit any pipe with an outer diameter of 38.3 inches or smaller. - Feel free to make shims for smaller diameter pipes and post in the comments section if you need shims to make these work with smaller pipe diameters.
