Purpose: These models were created in the hopes to make it easier for a wide variety of people with varying disabilities to utilize an Xbox controller in a way that may be easier for them.I personally have been paralyzed for a long time, and playing Xbox was never as fun and easy to pick up as it used to be (pun intended lol). I always made do with my hands on the controller, but the design competition was finally a catalyst to design some attachments to help myself and others just play.Currently it is focused around my needs, assuming more dexterity is available in the right hand, but I will be adding more variations in the future for differing needs.Instructions:Currently I have designed a thumb stick extender with 5 different grip options so the user can chose whatever is easiest/most comfortable for them, and the extension reduces the amount of force required to operate the thumb stickThere is also a clip that hooks to the front of the controller that extends the left bumper and trigger to where they can be operated by the right hand. (currently in the process of designing one to extend the right ones for left-handed use)BOM:1x grip of choice1x connector1x thumb stick adapter1x Trigger Frame (PETG recommended) Print orientations:g code is provided with the supports I used, the supports removed easily. The long grip, thumb-stick adapter and connector do not require any supports.Pieces slide together easily, and should be glued to each other for best result, I prefer 3D Gloop (https://www.3dgloop.com/) Alt Text: Image shows grip, connector, and adapter aligned with the outside of the connector aligned with the hole in the grip and the post on the adapter aligned with the small hole in the connector. Alt Text: Image shows grip, connector, and adapter glued into place. After the glue is dry Simply slide the thumb-stick adapter over the top of the thumb-stick and you are ready to go. Alt Text: Image shows adapter without grip affixed to the thumb-stick, it slides on from the side and the rotational orientation is based on preference.Multiple extensions can be used for whatever your needs may beAlt Text: Image shows a flat grip and long grip adapter affixed to both of the thumbsticks, it slides on from the side and the rotational orientation is based on preference. The trigger frame has been designed as a single piece utilizing the material as a compliant mechanism, so that it is easy for those with minimal finger dexterity to install independently. Simply clip it onto the front of the controller. Alt Text: Image shows a the trigger extender installed on the front of the controller, and the controller sitting in the stand.A stand is also included to set the controller on for storage and stability/support during use if that is helpful to the user. With the stick adapter, trigger extenders the buttons on the controller are able to be used with one hand, and any part of the body can be used for the left thumb-stick. Alt Text: Image shows the controller with trigger extender and ball handle attached. the controller sits in the stand.I personally use an elite controller, so any two of the other buttons can be mapped to the right paddles for even more adaptability. Please comment if there is a different kind of grip you think would be useful to add, or if you need something different, I can try to make whatever helps the best. *all print files sliced for the Prusa i3 Mk3s using the Prusament PLA profile*
