Modular x cyclops
thingiverse
I'm working on my second iteration, building off my initial attempt at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2766507. Unfortunately, I wasn't satisfied with the print quality of my first version. After some research, I discovered a few designs that caught my attention, but it was Nuggit's carriage system at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2519798 that truly impressed me. My only concern was that his design didn't accommodate the cyclops component. Luckily, I found a modular end for the cyclops created by 3dflat at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2187359, but it had one major flaw - it couldn't integrate the stock green sensor like Nuggit's design did. As an extreme novice, most of my prints come from thingiverse, and I've dabbled in tinkercad, with some unsuccessful attempts in blender as well. I merged these designs into tinkercad with a little experimentation, using https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1862482 by pilotwarezhk for guidance. By combining Nuggit's carriage system, 3dflat's modular end, and my own tinkering, I created a Frankenstein-like modular x design for the Cyclops, complete with the green stock sensor attached. I've also included an updated version tailored to the Chinese 2 in 1 out model, which I've since switched to due to its superior ease of use and reliability.
