Modular Watch Stand Mk1
thingiverse
I decided I needed to corral my assortment of random watches that were scattered all over the place. To achieve this, I printed a batch of single watch stands, but this approach was taking up an excessive amount of surface area, so I opted to design one that would be more volumetrically efficient. This watch stand boasts several unique features. The base is remarkably stable as long as the watches are loaded evenly across its arms; it won't tip over in such cases. The second notable feature is its exceptional modularity - I've included two types of watch stand arms: a 4-arm module and a 2-arm module. While I found the 4-arm type to be somewhat cramped, extending one side's arms would have spaced out the watches more effectively. Assembly proves to be very straightforward; each module simply sits atop the next via a 5cm long insert. The pictured watch stand consists of one base, one 4-arm module, and five 2-arm modules.
