Modular Unit Carrying Tray
thingiverse
I designed a transport solution for my Kill Team models. As I had various base sizes on my team, I came up with a modular solution that allows expansion when needed. The components interlock, enabling them to be expanded as the team grows. The interlocking components allow for a system that can either be glued together for a permanent setup or left as-is. The spacers enable you to resize a single element of one size into another, smaller size. For instance, you can go from a 50mm storage slot down to a 40mm, 32mm, or 25mm single storage space. The Stackers allow for an additional level of storage. Each stack requires at least four Stacker Bases and six Stacker Poles. The smaller end of the stacker pole points to the bottom Base, while the larger slot fits into the bottom of the top Base. Glue is needed to ensure that the stacker bases don't separate from the rest of the tray. These have been printed but not tested, so please be aware that you use them at your own risk! Be sure to print with supports as the interlocking design requires some pieces to have a 1mm gap in order to fit into others. I hope everyone enjoys this transport solution. Be sure to give any feedback you may have. Update: May 25, 2019 Fixed issues with the 50mm to 40mm spacer. Added Stacker files.
