Updated: February-13-2021 - fixed the tabbed 1.25" version, no clue what happened there my main files look nothing like that, lol. thanks to dmccombs for pointing this out Update: January-24-2021 - I have changed the configuration for this, all faceplates will be converting to a 3 hole design to work with both the 2" insert and the new 1.25" Insert. (all existing holes still line up as they should) - Added a new 1.25" Hitch insert, this only has one center hole so give yourself a tight solid fit with either just the bolt, or the bolt and nut combination, the put in the nut you will likely want to use a nut driver to get it in there and line it up. I have not tested the 1.25" version yet, and it does not use the same clip in system, I will be adding that later today hopefully) - I have added a reinforced tab version of the original 2" insert, this ties the tabs structurally into the base better than the original thing. - I have made a 1.25" tab lock version, this has not been tested (just as the main 1.25") I have fully tested this on a 1.25" hitch receiver with no issues, all the holes line up as they should, putting the nut on for the faceplate was annoying, but doable with needle nose pliers, I added 4 spots of hot glue around the plate for this specific hitch insert so that plate doesnt move and gets some extra stick, it comes off easy enough to put another plate on without issue :) I used a zip tie to anchor the non tab version to the receiver (my daughter didn't have the locking pin so this worked well)). This system prints in 2 pieces, the main insert (2" or 1.25") and the faceplates, faceplate is Tri-holed for aligned mounting into either insert, connects with M3 bolts and nuts. Swap em out and put a new one on anytime you like. This is the Base connector and an atari plate included. Print at a decent infill for strength on the insert (I used 3 shells with 40%fill) and use supports (they are minimal), the faceplates are good at 20% with no supports needed). Putting the nuts on won't be the most fun you've had, but it's fairly doable. I will be making a fair amount of plates for this.
