Modular Tool Storage

Modular Tool Storage

thingiverse

After diving into the world of 3D printing, I accumulated a few essential tools that always stayed within arm's reach of my printer. These eventually took over my workbench, prompting me to create a modular tool storage system that kept my gear handy but hidden away. It was also my first foray into designing original objects using OnShape, making it an invaluable learning experience as well. I went through several iterations, each one (hopefully) building upon the previous. Here is my final product. No special print settings are required. Due to its wide base, you won't need rafts, brims, or supports. You can print at any layer height you prefer, but I used 0.2 so that the text on top of each block would still be clearly visible. You can use any infill pattern you like, I chose 15% so it could withstand some mild abuse. The base of each module is lightly chamfered, which should simplify removal from the print bed.
