Modular Stoplight
thingiverse
Human: Customizable stoplight enclosures are a must have, and I couldn't find anything on Thingiverse that fit my vision perfectly. That's why I designed this modular stoplight part from scratch, giving anyone the freedom to tailor their own cases according to their preferences. You'll find here a standard three-layer frame enclosure featuring a 5mm hole at the bottom for mounting purposes. It consists of two interlocking parts. For added flexibility, four different versions of the light modules are provided: some are optimized for 5mm LEDs, while others come without or with a lens attachment. I also included an additional printable element - a clear PLA diffuser lens - that can be printed in a suitable scale to work seamlessly with the existing framework. Please note that this assembly requires two parts and should ideally use glue. If everything works out as planned, it should create smooth and functional 25mm modules integrated into 29.8mm wide frames. An older version of the 123d design source code is attached here; I'm still refining this part but willing to revisit any variations that suit specific scales. If there's a particular scale you have in mind, don't hesitate to reach out.
