(Modular) Square-Tiled Board

I've been tinkering with a new board game concept for several months now that I got my printer. While the game itself is still being refined and adjusted, I thought it might be interesting to share some files I've reworked to create a modular, chess-like board. The tiles as well as the holders are based on various sources; they're not original designs. The base tile holder has been remixed from ThinkerThing's Open Board Game Hex Brick. The grass tile is also from ThinkerThing's Open Board Game. The dirt tile was trimmed down a bit from der_graue's Crackled Floor Plate, and the mountain centerpiece was borrowed from dutchmogul's Cyvasse game, placed on a tile to fit this board. Overall, I'm pleased with how the board turned out; each of the tiles fits snugly in their holders, and I can envision some really intriguing boards being created from this. The board is scaled to be approximately 6mm tall, with each tile measuring 29.8mm x 29.8mm, so if you want to make your own tiles, they'll need to be created at this size to fit. Since the tiles are relatively detailed, I recommend printing them in the upright position. This will result in more layers, but the Z-axis provides better quality for such fine details. My larger board (shown) is a 9x9 board used in the game I'm developing. I used small magnets to keep the board together, which work great! I simply drilled some small holes on the side and gorilla glued the magnets in (make sure you get the polarity right!). If you use these tiles to make a board, please share your creation! I'd love to see what gets made from these.
