Modular Spinning Acrylic Paint Rack
thingiverse
This is a modular design for my acrylic paint organizer. It helps keep print times low even if your machine has issues. The system also allows you to lengthen or shorten the rack as needed. To create the acrylic paint section, you'll need to print one "bottom tray" and then add one or more "mid trays." Each additional mid tray adds two rows. You can top these off with a "top lid." Print one "base plate," one "retainer clip," and one "spin base" to complete the rack. I used plastic 6mm Airsoft BBs for the bearings. M5 10mm machine screws will self-tap into place at the bottom. The pins help align everything during assembly. In addition to the acrylic holder section, I've developed a 100mm drawer with a 4.5mm pull mounting hole. I also made a 60mm drawer and rack that I printed but didn't include in this example build. The example consists of a spin base, retainer clip (not visible), bottom tray, drawer rack, tall drawer, bottom tray, mid tray x2, and top lid. I printed at 0.32 mm layer heights without using support material.
