Modular Spice Carousel
prusaprinters

This spice carousel is geared to its neighbors so that when you rotate one carousel, you rotate them all. It makes searching for the right spice quick and efficient. Each 150mm carousel holds 6 standard spice jars. Link as many together as you like. This utilizes my One Piece Lazy Susan (file included here), that requires 75 6mm dia. airsoft pellets (BBs) for bearing balls.

Watch:

<oembed url="https://youtu.be/p1dUTLv7L1o"></oembed>

Print Settings

Printer:

UDIO

Resolution:

0.2mm

Post-Printing

After printing, run a bit of sandpaper in the ball channels to smooth out any lumps. Then just snap the airsoft pellets into the ball channel on the turntable. After snapping the ring onto the turntable, if it feels a little loose, you may want to glue it in place with a few drops of superglue. Connect the bases using the links in whatever pattern you like and then just set the turntables on top of each of the bases.

Category: Kitchen & Dining
