Modular Scale Armor

Modular Scale Armor

thingiverse

This is a revised upload, the original was posted by my colleague first. I've re-posted it for more precise categorization and better search functionality. I designed this model myself, and I'm not trying to steal anyone's work - my coworker is welcome to keep it up on their account as well. Edit: I drew inspiration from a variation of this design, and realized that there was a need for a lower row of scales without holes at the bottom (kudos to whoever suggested that). I've included a model for that feature. It's not perfect, but since the original file came from SketchUp, it wasn't easy to edit. Note: Lay them flat when printing - the model imports standing up, which wouldn't make sense in real life and would result in weak structures if printed at all. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 3mm is a good setting Infill: Low (around 3%)
