Modular RC Car

This is a fully 3D-printable, modular, Remote Controlled car that was designed and developed by Daniel Kapuskar and Anthony Fite under the guidance of Dr. Mariappan Jawaharlal at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona's Mechanical Engineering Department. It boasts an innovative chassis with multiple longitudinal slots for versatile mounting positions, allowing for various parts to be 3D printed or laser-cut. Multiple suspension design options enable the entire system to be fully printed or partially printed with some commercially available components. Drive-train components must be purchased separately to complete this project, offering a wide range of price and performance levels. We highly recommend using PLA for all parts instead of ABS, as PLA provides better durability and resistance to layer separation.
