Modular Raspberry Pi 2/3 Terminal
thingiverse
**What is this?** This is a design for a modular Raspberry Pi terminal. It's based on the 5 inch WaveShare LCD screen that connects via a HDMI bridge. **Why did I make it?** My friend wanted a little pocket sized terminal to carry in their bag. I ended up making it so they could easily remove the Pi if they needed to in the future without needing to disassemble the LCD housing. If you want to see my previous design where I use my Raspberry Pi terminal as a sim racing digital dashboard then check out my video here: https://youtu.be/t4BZ7oyTGXA **Features:** * I've included all my original source files in fusion360 format * I've included all individual parts in STL format * It's biggest feature is that you can easily swap out Rapsberry Pi 2/3 boards * You can print multiple Pi half-cases for all your raspberry Pi boards allowing you to change them easily * The pi board connects to the LCD screen using the friction fit of the GPIO connection * The pi board can be securely screwed the back of the LCD housing * The LCD bridge is camouflaged with a slide on cover (square or rounded) **Considerations:** * This design doesn't support heatsinks on the SOC so not an ideal case if you intend to overclock your Pi board * I don't have exact screw sizes unfortunately since I used some spares I had **Printing:** Printed with PLA at 0.2mm for the first 3 layers and 0.3mm for the rest. **Links:** If you're looking for other designs or DIY projects similar to this one I invite you to head over to my YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/c/SuperEvenSteven Regards, SuperEvenSteven
