Modular Racksystem
prusaprinters
In 2016 I bought my first 3D printer, an Ultimaker, in order to make accessories for vaping. After many versions I ultimately ended up with this modular system, which I am quite satisfied with. So satisfied in fact I'd like to share it with you. The system consists of a base, that fits together similar to a kind of jigsaw puzzle. Then there is an extension to make different heights in a setup. Next is a tray holder at the top and finally the tray itself with an optional lid. The trays (and the lids), by the way, comes in full and half sizes. The combinations of these parts are endless, enabling you to customize the setup however you want. And some of the parts, mainly the extensions, tray and the lid can be further customized for a range of applications from batteries to cellphones, from tools to small parts. The whole system has holes going all the way through to the bottom in case you want to use it as a charging stand etc. The holes in the trays can of course be closed if so desired. And the parts are easy to customize since I have included the Fusion 360 files. Please note that all these items prints without support. Notice that the lids needs to be flipped over with the underside pointing upwards before printing.Looking at the prints now I realize that 3d printing has come a long way since 2016! The layers are very rough and very different from what I get now with my newly aquired Prusa Mini+.So then, I hope you will enjoy this modular racksystem. Please feel free to customize and personalize it to you hearts content. Happy Printing!
