Modular, practical, simple spool rack holder for 3dprintingnerd
myminifactory
A versatile rack holder designed specifically for installation on the filament rack from @3dprintingnerd. Simply print and assemble the modular parts directly onto the beam, allowing you to print anywhere along the rack where your filaments are stored. This innovative design minimizes the need to reposition module parts, as spools can be positioned anywhere along the modules. Design Considerations: 1) Modularity: Install as many modules as needed, and of any length required. Top off the sides with smaller modules as necessary or for smaller sized spools. 2) Adaptability: Slide the modules around the shaft to accommodate the position of your filament, allowing you to place it anywhere along the modules (on one -80 module, or between two). 3) Ease of Usage/Installation: Print this design and have a working spool immediately. The ramp range accounts for most standard spool diameters (20cm), allowing easy sliding on. You don't need to reposition filaments; the filament guide solves this problem. To Use: 1. Print the ramp_x_grooved for the front bar, while printing the ramp_x for the back bar. 2. For a standard 1kg spool, choose x = 80(cm). Other options provide modularity. 3. The grooves are designed to slot in the filament locking pin, which acts as a guide to keep the filament from moving around above the printer. Note: The picture shows modular components printed for 2020 extrusions (20mm gap), but the files have an 18mm gap. Follow me on Thingiverse at limwenyao.
