Modular PI Cam housing with system32 support
thingiverse
I finally found a suitable solution to mount my Pi and Pi cam in my customized build enclosure, which is a modified IKEA kitchen cabinet with standard holes. As I also wanted to add a lens to the Pi cam because the entire build plate wasn't visible on screen and didn't want to reprint all parts again due to a design change, I decided to create a modular housing. This modular housing is divided into several parts: - Lens adapter (this can be adapted to any new lens with different focal lengths or threads) - Housing mount adapter (screw-in ball joint which can be replaced by any other mounting adapter and is connected by a screw thread) - Pi Cam housing front with M18x1 thread for lens adapter - Pi Cam housing back with M9x1 thread for mounting adapter - System32 ball joint holder I purchased an inexpensive lens set from Action, featuring an M17x0.5 thread, and used the 0.65x lens. For the Pi holder, see my other project (Minimal PI 3+ Holder for system32), available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2979105
