Modular MK8/MK10 Extruder Unit
thingiverse
Most MK8/MK10 based extruder units share a common issue: their biggest part is a single piece, and what if you mistakenly purchased an extruder unit with the wrong orientation? This problem could lead to significant delays in your project. The concept behind this design is to address the Left/Right hand orientation of the extruder unit by creating a single piece that can be rotated to suit your preference. This will greatly simplify the assembly process and reduce the risk of errors. The lever has two versions: * Teflon: A short teflon tube runs through the lever, serving as a substitute for traditional bearings. * Bearing: The conventional method involves pushing the filament into the extruder gear using a bearing. Both designs have been virtually tested, and they should function as intended. However, physical testing is still pending to confirm their effectiveness.
