This modular mini-sprinkler system is designed specifically for small gardens, balconies, and greenhouses. You can easily use different pipe sizes and shapes by drilling holes as needed. The pipes have threaded ends but I strongly advise gluing them to the base to prevent dripping. If you want to create your own sprinkler pipes, note that they feature an M22x3 thread. Support ------- To ensure minimal support for the thread in the base, I employed tree support, which can be easily removed from the top. For added security at the bottom of the thread, consider using a support blocker. When printing the angular pipe, select a 'cross' (Cura) support pattern to allow sufficient water flow around it. Print the pipes upright with threads facing upwards for optimal results. This will prevent any issues with print quality or thread alignment. Infill ------ Using 60% infill seems to produce a waterproof finish. Since you'll need to glue in the connector and pipes anyway, consider using less infill and applying an epoxy resin sealant instead. Connectors ------------ You can choose between a "Gardena" connector designed by marcus16423 for this project (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2996712) or a 5/8" (15.87mm) connector, which is a remix of xHubbyx's version (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3684062). The base diameter measures 2mm if you want to create your own custom connectors. Feedback and suggestions are welcome!
