This is a versatile marble machine that can be easily printed on even a small 4in by 4in printer. It's designed to be standardized so that every 1U block measures 12mm by 12mm by 12mm, making it easy to create your own parts and build endless tracks. You can also scale up the design for larger marbles as needed. Holes: The holes are .125" in diameter and .1" deep. The pegs that fit into these holes are roughly .125" in diameter and .9" deep. Every 1U block has a central hole, providing ample space for marbles to flow smoothly. Tracks: The tracks are designed with an 8mm ball bearing at their center, allowing it to roll freely down the middle. A standard 1 unit track features a marble path that's roughly 8.1mm in width, leaving room for some movement. The bottom of each track is .125" above the ground, which means if you build a 2u high track, the starting point for the upper portion would be at the bottom of the 8.1mm marble guide. Pieces Made: You can create a variety of interesting pieces using this modular design, including a loop de loop, flip flop (which has three parts), hammer (two parts with a central pivot diameter of .15"), and much more.
