Modular Magnetic Mini Camera Mount
thingiverse
I created this case with brackets to meet my needs for a small wide-angle camera, specifically designed for use with OctoPrint/OctoPi. The camera I used is available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LQ854AG/. If you search for "ELP-USBFHD01M 180 degree fisheye" on Thingiverse, you'll find the correct link as it appears to be changing frequently. To use this camera with OctoPrint/OctoPi, I had to modify octopi.txt by adding the correct camera options: camera_usb_options="-r HD -f 60". The knobs, arms, and printable screws/nuts can be found on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2194278. This project is a remix of these items. To use magnetic mounts, pause the print before the slots are closed off, insert the magnets, then resume the print. I use Prusa's ColorPrint site to add an M600 command into the gcode for the appropriate layer. You can find this firmware here: https://www.prusaprinters.org/color-print/. The magnet size used is 18mm x 3mm, purchased at Home Depot. Two magnets are used on the small base and three on the larger hex base. I recommend using the 3-magnet base if you're printing multiple arms. I only made the two-magnet version because I broke my third magnet and didn't feel like going back to the store. The V2 mount provides a little more space for the cable if it's exiting the case in that direction.
