Here's my take on the world's oldest continuously played board game, Go. Dating back over two thousand years, it has become a staple in many cultures worldwide. You can check out its fascinating history on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go_game My goal was to create a portable Go board that could be played on-the-go. I initially set out to design a compact, space-saving Go board for cars and public transportation but the project evolved into something far more innovative. Now you can have any size or shape of Go board at your fingertips. Each piece in this modular set is precision-engineered with a five millimeter magnetic ball that's free to rotate inside. This means you can align the center perfectly, no matter what the board shape. These pieces are ideal for people who struggle with fine motor skills and struggle to place game pieces accurately on traditional boards. I highly recommend them. For a hands-on demonstration of how these incredible Go boards work, check out this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZMIMVO_rrA Assembling the board is a straightforward process: * Simply print the necessary pieces and have them ready for use. * Ensure they are all evenly shaped so they can be easily snapped together. The beauty of this system is that there's no need for sanding. * Mix scrap plastic pieces with a metallic purple pigment, add it to a suitable glue, then fill the channels of the grid pattern using an acetone-based material and a compatible needle. You will have perfectly matched color. Place the 5mm magnetic balls into their designated locations using a machine screw. With a print resolution of one-hundred percent, this entire board weighs only about three grams with thirty percent infill density per square unit. You'll need to fill each cell with fifty-five millimeter long chopsticks so they can handle heavy impact. Then stick a tiny metal piece onto the magnetic surface. Once the abs is completely cured, it will expand due to internal heat stress which adds strength and durability. Finally sand your finished project lightly so that any visible lines left over after extrusion are gone but still maintain texture for best playability experience possible overall! For those who can't access their go board while out due reasons like fine motor disabilities don't have an excuse no more. Now we all equal.
