Modular Keychain

Modular Keychain

thingiverse

Do you have multiple sets of keys in your keychain? Do you want to bring along a pen drive? Do you wish to carry anything you want with your keys? This is the modular keychain. You can build millions of adapters to attach to your keys and the main element, which is simple, reliable, and easy to assemble - as straightforward as a T extrusion. You will need a long M4 screw and a nut, or one M4 screw plus a long female threaded tube - I think this is the best solution. Please be careful, this is still a work in progress. Any comments are welcome. Once I complete the main element, I plan to build a better USB adapter and a slimmer keychain to carry another set of keys for my work. How I Designed This First, I measured my current keychain, aiming for a flat, rigid, and linear set of keys that fits anywhere without hurting my pants. With these measurements and the form's idea in mind, I experimented with different forms until I settled on the modular mechanism using a T extrusion.
