Modular Interlocking Hexagonal Drawers

Modular Interlocking Hexagonal Drawers

**Update 30 Nov 2016** I've uploaded a part called "corner holder." Its designed to stop the hexagons from moving when you pull a drawer out. It locks into the bottom drawers in a cluster, and hooks down the back of a desk. These are some interlocking drawers I designed to store electrical components. They lock together so you can add as many as you like, and pick them all up when moving them. I printed them on my Cactus Create 3D printer (same base as a Wanhao). The draws have slots in them for dividers I am going to eventually print. The idea is you can print the draws and add dividers as needed. If you want to print your own dividers, the slots are 2mm wide and 1mm deep. **** All the drawers' edges are 2mm thick so you might want to make the bottom layer thicker otherwise the drawer bottom will sag - a certain amount of infill will help fix this. Wall thickness: 0.4mm Bottom layer: 0.3mm Layer height: 0.2mm Infill: 0% You might want to add some infill to add structural integrity, but it seems okay without it, especially when you lock multiple drawers together. Everything seems like a good fit when I printed them. If you print them, post your designs! Happy printing!
