Modular Hotone pedal board
thingiverse
Hotone pedals are awesome!! Great quality for a reasonable price, but let's face it: It's their tiny size that makes them so... eh... great. Once you buy a couple, you'll be tempted - as i was - to buy another one. And another one...Also, i wanted to be able to switch pedals around easily and decide which pedals come along and which ones stay at home, on a per-gig basis without sacrificing robustness. This called for a modular pedal board! Perfect project for me and my CR-10! The design of the board is parametric. The amount of pedals on a single unit being the most important parameter. If you already know you're going to bring at least 3 pedals, you can make a 3-pedal unit. If you buy another one later, you can print a single unit and just append it. I'm using the term "just" lightly here. I must admit that size and features were my main objectives. I also wanted to make it really easy and workable, but honestly making it this small has drawbacks. Mainly: You can only disconnect a patch cable if one of the two pedals it connects is not inserted. And inserting/popping out pedals can only be done when the jack cable on the right is not inserted... At first it might look a bit like a puzzle or even a catch-22. You'll figure it out, but if you need a hint: When building, go from left to right, and when disassembling, go from right to left.
