Modular Hex wall display with lighting
thingiverse
I spent countless hours collecting old extruder parts from my toolboxes, relics from a time when 3D printing was still in its experimental stages. After pouring so much thought and frustration into various projects, I couldn't bear to let all that hard work go to waste. So, I designed a wall display to showcase these discarded parts. The idea behind the wall display is to print as many sections as needed, then assemble them using zip ties. For added visual appeal, you can add LED backlighting – 3mm LEDs wired in parallel to a 3V power source work beautifully. Tiles can be easily added or removed, and the zip ties can be clipped and rearranged at any time. I'm thrilled to share this project with others who might appreciate it as much as I do. In fact, I plan on using this display for other past projects that I'm proud of, even though they're no longer relevant today.
