Modular Hat Rack
thingiverse
I required a way to arrange my hats, and I discovered that this file on Thingiverse made sense to me: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1366821. It's excellent but I had ideas to improve it - simplifying it into one single file and eliminating the need for glue to attach each piece, thanks to dovetails. To mount it on a wall or door, simply drive a screw into the surface leaving some space for the rack module to hold onto (every module has a slot for a screw). I've got nine modules secured by just one screw, but you can use as many as you deem necessary. If you don't like the appearance of the top and bottom modules (the dovetails), simply remove the top and bottom parts of the module file and create custom covers as seen in some images above. Any questions, post them in the comments section.
