Modular, flexible battery cover for DIY electric longboard

Modular, flexible battery cover for DIY electric longboard

thingiverse

A comprehensive DIY system cover is being developed specifically for electric longboards with flexible decks. The primary design is tailored to accommodate a 10S4P setup featuring 18650 batteries, a Bestech 10S 80A BMS, and dual VESC units. The full length of the cover measures 590 mm, while its width is 195 mm. An edit has been made to extend the middle section by 10 mm. This modification allows for an alternative use in cases where batteries do not fit within the original 70mm space. The system includes: * Front section * Middle section (originally designed with three parts) * Back section * Flexible links connecting each part * Curved water seal between the flat cover and the longboard's curved underside Due to its modular nature, this design can be customized to fit different battery sizes as long as the cell layout remains consistent. For instance, it would be an ideal choice for a 12S4P setup by printing four middle sections instead of three.
