Modular DNA base pair surfaces
thingiverse
These models showcase actual representations of individual DNA base pairs. They can be printed and assembled into an idealized double-stranded DNA helix model. These models serve as a valuable tool for teaching students how single units of base pair assemble into a double helix. Major and minor grooves are easily distinguishable, while more advanced students can identify individual base pairs by looking for the prominent bulge of T's 5-methyl group in the helix. There are four different models due to their unique pinning configurations, but the models themselves are interchangeable, allowing you to create any possible DNA duplex sequence.
