Modular Dice Tower with Fold-Up Trays
thingiverse
I'm excited to share this remix of the awesome Dice Tower by CarryTheWhat! Unfortunately, my trusty printer couldn't handle printing the entire thing at once, so I decided to break it down into modular pieces that fit on more print beds. This is just a first draft, and I'd love for you to suggest some improvements (and I'll probably end up making some changes too). I think it's essential to print this model at least 115% of its current size. The cleaned-up 3D model has been divided into several sections: * The inner pin is shorter to accommodate the thinner inner wall, requiring two of them. * The outer pin is thicker (two as well). * There's a single Base piece and one Top piece. * You'll need at least one Mid Tower piece, which must be placed on the first level. This can be anywhere from level 4 upwards. * Be sure to position the Mid Tower Clip at the third level if you choose to go beyond the base model so that it catches the folding trays. * You'll require two Trays. **Print Settings:** I used my Monoprice MP Select Mini printer with the following settings: * Rafts: Doesn't Matter * Supports: Doesn't Matter * Infill: 15% **Important Notes:** You shouldn't need supports for most of the models, except possibly the trays. The trays have an obtuse angle that I printed with supports, and you may want to do the same.
