Modular Dice Tower
thingiverse
This is a super cool build-it-yourself dice tower that can be expanded and customized as high as you like. Once assembled, the middle sections can easily be twisted to change the way the dice roll through it. This tower supports both Settlers of Catan and standard D6 dice. \nAssembly demo of an older version with a tray in a hexagonal shape: https://youtu.be/IiKTh4Hh0eY\nDice rolling action is on full display at this link: https://youtu.be/jdS_LXVL-bA\nWhen you print this, I'd really appreciate it if you click "I Made One" and share your creations - that makes me very happy! Check out all my other designs which come in a variety of shapes and sizes at http://www.thingiverse.com/3E8/designs.\nOct 21st, 2015 update: I've added the Spiral module and made some tweaks to the Arch module - check it out!\nThe Banister module was retired since the dice always got stuck down in that small corner spot; that was a no-go. Oh yeah, happy Back To The Future Day to everyone.\nOct 30th, 2015 update: Both the Battlements and Spiral modules have gotten some much-needed improvements. Now the Battlements has 2mm walls for even better dice movement, and the Spiral prints smoothly without pushing your printer too hard.\nNov 14th, 2015 update: I added a round alternative to the standard tray so you can try that out. There's also a bigger Modular Dice Tower if that's more your style - take a look at it here http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1131768\nJanuary 25th, 2016 update: For all you modular dice fans out there, check this new V2 Base out - essentially combines the base and tray together into one easy print.\nFebruary 2nd, 2016 update: Two sweet Fig8 modules for a nice two-piece combo of base and tray. It's kind of like my other creation called BaseV2 except now it's broken down into more parts instead of being stuck all in one piece.\nApril 18th, 2016 update: Just to kick off Tax Day properly, I tossed out some older files so the new version has a third less of them - isn't that nice! Now back to creating new stuff for you all.
