Modular desktop tool holder for 3D printing.
thingiverse
While working on my 3D printer, I've discovered that a significant amount of time is wasted searching for the exact tool needed from the bottom of a drawer or toolbox, so I decided to design a desktop tool holder for my most frequently used tools. I created a modular design, which allows me to easily change my setup without having to reprint the entire thing from scratch. The small rectangles that hold the tools can be designed according to individual needs, and this part can even be laser-cut to save time if desired. The tool holder features three different levels for easy access and to accommodate tools of varying lengths. My design holds a variety of essential tools, including an X-acto knife, metal spatula, Vernier caliper, nail file, chopsticks (useful for placing nuts while printing or as a makeshift fork when hungry), 4 pliers, tweezers, small vernier caliper, thickness gauge set, 4 hex Allen keys, scalpel knife, 3 screwdrivers, and 2 Sharpies. I hope this design proves to be useful for others.
