Modular Custom 3D Printer
thingiverse
I've been working on a custom 3D printer idea, and I'm using all the non-3D printable parts from a cheap CTC Prusa clone. Please feel free to use it as you see fit - I'll keep updating until I think it's good. You can use the Fusion360 files I added and remix them if you can make something better; please share your creations! Happy printing! Note that my Y-axis is based on the Funbot 8mm version, but I'm currently working on a new one. Update 1: I've added top PSU brackets and LCD clips for the original Prusa frame. Update 2: I've added a fan bracket to mount a fan duct - you can also use other ones, but this one works best for me. Additionally, I've included an end stop that attaches to the MK8 extruder; otherwise, where the fan sticks out, it crashed into the left X-axis. To ensure a proper fit, please use 8mm rod test: if it doesn't fit over your rods, scale it up to 101% - it will be tight but work perfectly and save you a lot of time.
