First of all, major kudos to Ryan van Waes from my_minifactory for his fantastic zip top launcher design. (https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-zip-top-spinning-top-14005) The spinning top is highly modular, making it easy to create your own custom discs and tips. By default, the design consists of three layers: an upper disc, a lower disc, and a tip. Each layer measures 11mm in thickness. The core diameter is precisely 10mm, allowing for effortless thread creation using Fusion 360 (that's how I made them). Simply screw all the parts together for instant assembly. For fair and exciting combat gameplay, it's recommended that the largest disc diameter not exceed 5cm. A basic arena design is included, consisting of a quarter-circle shape. Print four copies and glue them together, but be prepared to do some extensive sanding - trust me, it's worth it! I highly recommend creating your own custom arena instead. All components can be printed using PLA alone, although feel free to experiment with other materials for a good mechanical test. Try out various sizes, shapes, and materials to see which combination will reign supreme in the ultimate showdown! Warning: be cautious not to break either the material or your heart during this thrilling experience. Most importantly, remember to have FUN :). (Photo: The prototype on the left, a design that spins exceptionally well (middle), and a unique variation that also performs admirably.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Update 22-8-18: I've added a smaller modular ring for greater customization options. Additionally, I've included one piece gemstone, a remix of my fidget gemstone. Update 3-9-18: A small tip has been added to enhance balance and make removal easier. For optimal results, suggest using 100% infill and gently sanding the tip - you'll be rewarded! Update 4-9-18: A stylish radial tip has been incorporated for added flair. Update 3-10-18: I've added a biconcave ring design, ideal for printing two copies.
