Modular Bridge for RC Racetrack Lap Counter
thingiverse
I'm building a custom bridge for my 1:24 car, specifically designed to count laps with precision. The bridge is divided into five horizontal sections and two vertical ones, providing a sturdy foundation for accurate lap counting. Each of these six sections requires exactly ten screws to assemble securely. However, I did experience a setback when I accidentally dropped the bridge between the horizontal sections twice - but fortunately, zip ties were able to fix the issue quickly. One of the key features of this custom bridge is its ability to accommodate multiple LEDs on top for added functionality. In my design, I've opted for four infrared LEDs to efficiently count laps. Additionally, I cut an acrylic strip measuring 1 meter by 4 centimeters and printed a finish line art that can be attached using a holder to the bridge itself.
