Initially designed to compete in the #Birdhouse Challenge, this functional and printable birdhouse can be expanded into a massive bird tower. An update on 5-7-2013 rotated some parts for correct orientation; please update your files if you downloaded it earlier. The birdhouse allows various configurations - bolt to a wall and build upwards, hang from a balcony with adjustable apartments at different heights, or connect towers together directly or suspended by ropes. Endless possibilities are available through printing and hanging, while maintaining minimal support during the printing process. Ensure water drainage holes at the bottom of each birdhouse are not obstructed. Stacking parts is straightforward, using M3 bolts and nuts for secure connections. PLA material should be used to ensure a safe environment for birds. The design can easily accommodate different bird species if needed. The birdhouse was created in Autodesk Inventor 2013, with no models from Thingiverse.com used as inspiration.
