modular battery holder
thingiverse
I searched Thingiverse but didn't find anything I really wanted. I got the joining method from tea988, but I don't know if you'd really call it a remix. Maybe "inspired by..." AA, AAA, & 9V with slots for flat "coin type" batteries. Make only what you need. Mix & match. Join them up however you feel. Made with Tinkercad. I have made 25 of these for myself and family members. You may need to do some sanding to get a good fit. Not too tight or you won't be able to get them apart. These were tested using Duracell & Energizer batteries. Battery sizes do vary a little bit. More than I realized before starting these. No support, no raft or brim. .3mm layers, 3 walls (1.2 mm with .4mm nozzle), 25% infill. Use denser infill near the top surface for a good top or use more top layers. UPDATE Only a few people asked about C batteries. Only two would fit in one of these blocks. I don't think that would be worth the trouble. So, I made this. It's my glue stick holder slightly smaller. Wall thickness is 2.0mm. Set slicer wall thickness so it is solid with no infill. .3mm layers, no support. UPDATE 1-30-2019 Three new variations to add-on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3393183 Made by https://www.thingiverse.com/avendit/about UPDATE 7-15-2019 A remix for the 18650 li-ion battery https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3749138 made by https://www.thingiverse.com/Danikin/about
