Modular Automata Base

Create your own automata using this modular base of crank-driven cams by designing a unique bobbing figure or object to fit into the 5mm x 5mm hole that accepts the cam shaft, ensuring an appropriate amount of tolerance is added. To make a single module, print the following files: Standard Module Gear and Adapter with Crank Crank Assembly Main Shaft Single Joiners as needed One Cam To extend the grid along the main shaft axis, print the following files for each additional module: Standard Module Two Adapters Main Shaft (Double or Triple) Joiners as needed One Cam If more than three modules are required, create a custom main shaft with 5mm x 5mm square dimensions and lengths incrementing in 30mm intervals based on need. To extend the grid perpendicular to the main shaft axis, print the following files for each additional module: Standard Module Gear and Adapter without Crank Main Shaft (Select the length you need) Joiners as needed One Cam Three cam designs are available, offering a total of 16 different orientations of the cam relative to the main shaft. The "Cam Straight" and "Cam Eighth" provide 4 orientations each, while the "Cam Sixteenth" can be flipped for 8 positions.
