This is an innovative enclosure designed specifically for housing small ants. It features a modular design that allows multiple units to be connected, providing ample space for rapidly growing colonies. The project is ongoing, and further additions will be made to the collection of nest types. The mesh used in this design is constructed from stainless steel, although nylon sheets can also be utilized as an alternative. The components were bonded together using a silicone adhesive after lightly sanding the surfaces. This ensures a secure seal that prevents any moisture from escaping. A convenient feature of this enclosure is its ability to hold water within the reservoir. Users can fill it with cotton or other materials that retain moisture, providing a reliable source of hydration for the ants. The upper portion of the nest can be fitted with a clear plastic business card, which was specifically designed to fit perfectly within the 54mm x 85mm x 0.8mm dimensions. However, users also have the option to utilize other materials such as glass or plexiglass.
