Modular Anet A8 RAMPS 1.4 + Raspberry Pi 2/3 Case
cults3d
This project is for anyone who wants to upgrade their Anet mainboard to the RAMPS1.4 board and Raspberry Pi 2/3, which are optional. I couldn't find a case that met my requirements, so I created this modular case. Key Features The case has several key features: - It requires minimal filament (about 75g of PLA). - It's modular: you can easily replace the board without having to throw away the entire case. - You don't need to drill any holes in your Anet A8 acrylic frame. - The board holder can be used on its own. Bill of Materials Here's a list of materials needed: - 3x M3x20 mm screws (or alternative lengths) for the RAMPS board. - 4x M3x12mm screws (or alternative lengths) for the Raspberry Pi 2/3. - 6x M3x8mm screws (or alternative lengths) for the case lid. - 4x M3x12mm screws, if you mount the case frame with a normal nut and without a washer. Use an M3x16mm screw if you use a nyloc nut without a washer. - 2x M3x16mm screws for the board holder. - 6x M3 nuts (or nyloc nuts). - Optional: 6x M3 washers. Electronics Here are some electronics that may be needed: - A 90° angled USB A to USB B cable, if you want to use the RAMPS board with the Raspberry Pi. You can find this cable here. - The RAMPS 1.4 Board is available here. - The Mega 2560 Board (Arduino Clone) is available here. - 4-5x DRV8825 Stepper Driver are available here. - The Raspberry Pi 2 or 3.
