Modular Amazon Dash Button Case
thingiverse
After designing a single Amazon Dash button case, I realized I wanted three buttons side by side, so I created a new case for that setup. Then I figured out I could modify the original model to create a modular design that can be assembled on a computer to hold two or more Amazon Dash buttons! Here it is. There are ready-to-print single, double, and triple button versions available. It's designed to work with either the sticky pad included (which you use to stick it to the case) or a mm thick spacer/foam pad. The back stays in place due to friction as long as you don't take it off and put it on too many times. I left extra space around the dash for different printers, so if it's not stuck with double-sided tape, it will rattle. It's perfect for sticking onto a wall next to what you want to control or order. At home, I use alternate versions that can hold multiple Dash buttons (see remixes) where I've cut in icons for what they control, as I don't actually order things from Amazon with them – instead, I talk to a Raspberry Pi listening for the broadcast when they connect to my network! I created it using Solidworks and included those files along with STLs for printing. The case is 3.2mm thick because I found that any thinner with my printer's 0.4mm nozzle causes the inside and outside of the wall to separate.
