The remix for an Edimax ES5500M 5-port Gigabit switch requires a specific design to replace the original plastic case completely. This unique mount features a power connector on the front, allowing you to power it from this position or bypass it entirely by soldering a power cable to the back. The rear of the mount is designed for easy access and can be closed up using a provided cover plate that screws securely into place. The switch PCB is mounted within the new case utilizing three M3x6mm plastic standoffs (male-female version), three M3x8 button head screws, and three M3 plastic nuts that secure the standoffs firmly in place. The back cover of this design accommodates the four original case screws of the ES5500M for a seamless integration with the existing hardware.
