Modmic Magnetic Quick-Release Cable Clips for ATH-M40x
thingiverse
I often use my ATH M40x headphones without the Modmic attached, so have a quick clip system instead of using the default clips is much handier. They're roughly designed after the default modmic clips, but moreso iterated for a tight, no-slip clip on to my headphones/modmic cables. The design uses 6x2mm disc magnets from eBay, but stronger ones would provide a sturdier connection. The headphone clip has a 4.2 mm diameter hole, the cable itself measured 4mm diameter. The clip itself is a tighter fit than the default modmic cable, so I'm not worried. The modmic clip has a 2.7 mm diameter hole, and the cable itself measured 2.5 mm diameter. Similar tight fit as the other clip. The V1 design has approximately flush fits for the magnets, whereas V2 has a protruding magnet on the modmic side. PRINT SETTINGS: 0.2 mm layer height / 0.4 mm nozzle 100% infill NO supports needed Printed sideways for best clip strength (magnet hole faces outwards instead of down). It's a quick ~10min print so go nuts.
