Modified x belt mount for Prusa to increase build height

thingiverse

To resolve the issue of a direct drive extruder's x carriage belt hitting the frame first, I installed an idler bearing inside the x idler end and designed a new belt clamp. This modification enabled me to achieve a z height of up to 120 mm. However, the hole for the bearing in the x idler end is off-center, so it's necessary to enlarge it using a spare threaded rod as a file. To apply tension to the belt, use a bulldog clamp on one end while applying tension with the other hand and then locking it in place before securing the clamp onto the x carriage.
